LLOYD BANKS

BIOGRAPHY

At the age of six, Banks moved to Southside Jamaica, Queens. In his teenage years, he befriended Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, who became his protector, as he is several years older than Lloyd Banks.

He started in the rap business making mixtapes with Tony Yayo and 50 Cent, with songs that would make a name for himself in the rap scene as 187 Freestyle. After 50 Cent founded the renowned G-Unit Records label, Banks, along with Young Buck and Olivia (since Tony Yayo was in prison). He was one of the first artists to sign with the label.
